Vaughn Water Company started business in 1928. The company has grown from 3 connections in 1928 to over 9300 connections in 2010 and has seen phenomenal growth from 1991 to the present.
The water supply and distribution systems expand with the growth. All of our water supply comes from ground water and usually requires some form of treatment. The Company currently has a variety of treatment systems consisting of four activated carbon plants, four ozone treatment facilities, and one catalytic carbon plant. These nine plants help to make sure you are receiving the highest quality water possible. The remaining three wells do not require special treatment, but all wells have small amounts of chlorine added to the water to make sure the water remains good all the way to your tap.
